Advice from veterans on bingo
Bingo is primarily a game of chance and there is little you can do to predict the outcome in the game. Below is a compilation of bingo tips given by veteran bingo players to increase your chances of winning and having an enjoyable experience.
Play only as many cards as you can watch and monitor.
Use your dabber lightly; do not bang it on the board as it may tend to leak.
To win more coveralls, try to come in early and get the first set of paper cards issued. On busy nights managers stock the counter with plenty of cards. The top ones usually are the lowest free space number cards. Check the next coverall for yourself and look at the flashboard.
Be courteous to those around you. Do not yell and be boisterous when your number is taking long to be called out.
Buy a card for a neighbour once in a while. You never know when you will want one more game and realize that you have no money to play with.
Play bingo on nights that are generally slower. Being a game of chance if there are fewer players then there are fewer cards in play. The odds are greatly stacked in your favour.
Some special games are played on single strips purchased separately, and it's easier to dab them if they're taped together. So remember to bring tape with you to the game.
If you have made a mistake, use a different colour to dab it.
Use two different colours for odds and evens. It helps when the caller is checking your numbers.
