Bingo Fashion
The game of Bingo has become very popular and serious bingo players are manifesting their own unique styles in honour of the game. They adopt their own different style with different bingo equipments.
Dabbers or daubers are special bingo markers and objects of attraction for the bingo fashionistas. They come in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colours. Neon and colourful, they are shaped like snowmen, monkeys, elephants, sexy men and women, and other lucky symbols. There are double dabbers that have twin marker tops in one so the very serious bingo player can dab more grid spaces in less time. Some dabbers even flash blue and red lights when the dabber marks a bingo card.
There are special bingo bags that are used to carry these dabbers and all the other bingo essentials. Scotch tape is often kept and used to ensure that all the bingo cards are taped to the table so they do not move and a dabbing system can more efficiently be maintained throughout the games.
The elite players also have special bingo seat cushions, which make sitting for two-hour intervals in an otherwise hard metal folding chair, much more relaxing. The fabric cushions boast designs from simple bingo cards, bingo balls, and dollar signs, to the fashionable Betty Boop, and more classic Popeye the Sailor Man.
There exist several Bingo t-shirts sporting slogans that announce the bingo players fascination and love for the game. Besides, dangling earrings displaying bingo balls or favourite numbers too are made.
The fashion styles vary among different kinds of people, yet the general consensus is that bingo is an important ritual for most all of the players.
